Mac Jones has surprised all Alabama football fans

It was a rare sight to see Alabama football have a dominant quarterback in the past. Tua Tagovailoa shattered practically every record, and fans did not expect to see anyone as good as him for a long time. Mac Jones exceeded every expectation, and everyone should apologize to him.

We all expected Mac to be decent, but his hypothetical ceiling was nowhere near what he is doing now. Many advocated for true freshman Bryce Young to start over Jones, and we even argued that he should have a short leash this season.

Despite the doubt from his own fan base, Mac Jones has carried this team. He broke some records of his own, became a Heisman finalist and led Alabama football to the National Championship.

So, how has Mac Jones flipped the narrative? It helps that he has been in Tuscaloosa for so long. He has developed chemistry with many of his receivers while being the scout quarterback. He has also developed his skills in Tuscaloosa. It is obvious that Mac has improved, but his progress has skyrocketed his season.

While it helps that Mac Jones has talent around him, he is still responsible for his progress. He has become outstandingly accurate under center, and he is great at processing information quickly. This helps him go through his reads and make the right decision every time.

Mac Jones has seen plenty of adversity as an Alabama football player. He was challenged with replacing the best quarterback in Alabama history, and the fans expected perfection from the start. With a star on the bench, he knew that he had no room for errors.

dark. Next. Keys for Tide to beat Ohio State

Alabama fans didn’t even trust Mac Jones. Still, he has put himself in the same conversation as Tagovailoa. If he beats Ohio State on Monday, he will be considered by many as the best quarterback in Alabama football history. Either way, he deserves more credit than fans ever thought they would have to give him.
