These moments carried Alabama football to victory

Alabama football won its 18th national championship behind greatness at every level. Mac Jones showed leadership under center, Najee Harris dominated in the trenches and the Alabama receivers cooked the secondary all night. The defense held their own against a potent offense, and the coaching staff did everything right in the biggest game of the year.

There is no doubt that fans will remember this game for the rest of their lives. They will watch this game over and over this offseason, and rightfully so. A lot went into this season, and fans should be excited to be back on top of the college football world.

This season is over, but let’s look back at the greatest moments from this historic game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

5. Nick Saban tearing up postgame

We saw a new Nick Saban this season. He was lighthearted in interviews, and he seemed to be calmer on the sidelines. That might just be because this team rarely made mistakes, but he also seemed to be calm during tough moments. Saban is known as a robot (which is unfair to him), but he showed plenty of emotion after winning his seventh national championship.

During the postgame festivities, you could see Nick Saban getting a little emotional at the podium. He was even seen wiping his eyes. He might never admit to wiping away tears, but it looked as if he was crying after the win. That rare sign of emotion from Nick Saban will stick with all Alabama football fans. There is no doubt that he appreciates this team more than any other.
