How did Alabama football do in the National Championship?

After two years of being denied, Alabama football is once again at the top of the college football world. The Crimson Tide offense dominated from the first drive, and they felt comfortable for four quarters against one of the best teams in college football.

This game had everything for an Alabama fan. DeVonta Smith dominated. Jaylen Waddle was available. The defense stepped up in key moments. We even saw Landon Dickerson at the end of the game. It checked every box as Nick Saban won his sixth title with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

It was a great game from the Crimson Tide, and it was a great way to end a crazy 2020 season. As we look back on the year, let’s do one final game report card for their win against the Buckeyes. Spoiler alert: Alabama aced the test.

Tight Ends: B

Jahleel Billingsley and Miller Forristall have been quite the tandem since Jaylen Waddle went down with an injury. Forristall brings leadership, but Billingsley has all the potential in the world. His role has increased all season, and he is dangerous with the football in his hands.

Billingsley missed a few blocks, but he had a solid game as a receiver. While the receivers carried most of the weight, Billingsley played his role well. Miller Forristall didn’t have a catch, but his day was still solid overall.

We were expecting an OJ Howard-esque performance from Billingsley, and that was probably unrealistic. Still, he did his job and helped Alabama football win its 18th title.
