Alabama football’s report card vs. Ohio State

Running Backs: A

Najee Harris has been an absolute workhorse this season, and he was a pivotal piece of Alabama football’s game plan against the Ohio State Buckeyes. He showed why on the first few drives. He scored the first touchdown of the game, and he was also a weapon in the passing game.

Najee Harris will be the first running back drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. He capped off his Alabama football career with a dominant performance against the Ohio State Buckeyes. He broke the record for touchdowns in a season despite only having 13 games. He has to be one of the two best running backs in Alabama history.

Brian Robinson got a few rushes as well, and he did the most with his carries.

Wide Receivers: A+

Obviously, Alabama’s wide receivers are the best unit in college football. You have Heisman-winner DeVonta Smith (it feels good to say that) alongside John Metchie on the outside. The major question heading into this matchup was how available would Jaylen Waddle be. After an early ankle injury, he has been out for most of Alabama’s season.

Smitty had over 200 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half alone. There is no doubt that he is the greatest receiver in Alabama football history. He might be the greatest receiver in college football history.

Slade Bolden scored his first career receiving touchdown, and where else would you want to score it? Down the roster, all receivers had a solid day. Unfortunately, it was all overshadowed by DeVonta Smith’s finger injury in the second half.
