Alabama Football: ’21 class recruiting, record-breaking results show Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are not slowing down.

With the 2021 recruiting class, Nick Saban and Alabama Football have established new records. The finish is a few days away. The final calculations might change after National Signing Day on Feb. 3, but some results are already firm. The Crimson Tide will tie its record of six 5-Stars in one class or break it, if Verbal Commit, Camar Wheaton signs with the Tide.

Last summer, we asked what team will win the 5-Star chase. With a Wheaton signature, Ohio State cannot catch the Crimson Tide in 2021, 5-Stars, even if the Buckeyes add J. T. Tulmoloau.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will have the No. 1 class and is very likely to have the No. 1 class of all-time. Based on the best measurement for class rankings, the 247Sports Team Composite, the Tide is ranked No. 1 with 325.46 points. Wheaton is included in that calculation. The best previous Alabama Football class was 2017, with 323.87 points. The all-time record is the 2010 Florida Gators class that rated 324.62 points.

When the 2021 Crimson Tide signing class is complete, five of the top seven recruiting classes of all-time will have been gained by Nick Saban. Those five classes, built by Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide recruiting machine, are 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2021. On top of another National Championship for the 2020 season, the Tide’s recruiting domination shows no signs of abating.

Based on the 247Sports Composite, the 2021 class has 35, 5-Star players. After the Tide’s seven, Ohio State has five, with Clemson and Georgia having four each. Only two other schools have more than one, 2021, 5-Star; LSU and Miami. The only other SEC schools with 5-Star recruits are Florida and Texas A&M, with one each.

National pundits love to claim an imminent Nick Saban demise. Clearly, they have been wrong every time.
