3 perfect team fits for Alabama football’s Najee Harris

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

When fans think of the Steelers, they think of a gritty team that wins games in the trenches. Some of the most famous Steelers in history have been linemen on either side of the ball. That coincides with a strong running game. However, Pittsburgh was unfamiliar in the 2020-21 season.

With an aging offensive line and quarterback, The Steelers had issues that a solid running back could solve. However, James Conner failed to live up to the Pittsburgh standard. He only averaged 4.3 yards a carry. Combining his production with Benny Snell left Pittsburgh with 10 rushing touchdowns.

While the Steelers could go in a variety of directions, running back makes plenty of sense in the first round. If they choose to draft one that early, it would have to be Najee Harris. Harris’s ability to win between the tackles would alleviate pressure on the offensive line to give him a perfect window.

This would put Harris on a team that is ready to make it to the NFL Playoffs. Mike Tomlin would be a great coach for Harris. This pairing could get Pittsburgh back to winning with a strong running game, which would make fans very happy. It also makes sense in terms of draft value. If you are going to pick a running back in the first round, it makes sense to do so in the latter half.
