Alabama football players who should have been in a video game

Calvin Ridley

Ridley thrived from 2015 to 2017 with the Crimson Tide. At the time, he was widely considered the third-best receiver of the Nick Saban era. He was as smooth of a route-runner as you could imagine, and he dominated in the 2017 season. Jalen Hurts used Ridley almost exclusively, and he broke records held by Cooper and Julio.

The 2018 receiver room

The four first-round talents at wide receiver in 2018 are all better than some college football teams ever get. Both Jeudy and Smith won the Biletnikoff Award at some point in their careers. Henry Ruggs was the fastest player in college football, and Jaylen Waddle was not too far behind him. Obviously, Smitty won the Heisman Trophy in his senior season, and he would be a cheat code in a college football game.

Waddle would also be great on punt returns. He is one of the best returners in Alabama football history, but he never graced the pixels of a college football video game with his presence.

O.J. Howard

Howard was another player technically on the roster in NCAA 14, but he was just a freshman. He is arguably the best tight end Nick Saban has coached, and he made a statement with the 2015 team against Clemson to win a ring. Without him in that game, Alabama might not win it all.
