Ideal NFL fits for Alabama football’s Mac Jones

2. San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco won’t be drafting this early again for a long time. They are only here due to bad quarterback play and injuries across the board. Once everyone is healthy, the 49ers are back on the path to competing in the NFC West.

However, San Francisco’s coaching staff still hasn’t picked their young quarterback of the future. Jimmy G was a value grab, and he has worked well. Still, he is the weakest link. If Mac Jones can be the better option, he will lead the 49ers to the NFL Playoffs almost every season.

San Francisco’s offensive scheme is one of the best in the NFL. They run the ball well without spending capital on running backs. They have a few young receivers who will continue to grow. George Kittle is one of the best tight ends in football. If they can resign some offensive linemen, they will be set for the near future. Adding in the excellent defense makes this a force to be reckoned with.

I doubt that the 49ers will draft Mac Jones. It is more likely that they trade for one of the top quarterbacks on the block or run it back with Jimmy G for one more season. However, this is an amazing fit from Mac’s perspective.
