Ideal landing spots for Alabama football’s Jaylen Waddle
2. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have plenty of needs on both sides of the ball, but they desperately need a top-tier threat at wide receiver. Waddle has what it takes to be that guy for any team, but this would be a great fit for both sides.
While the Eagles hope to have an improved offensive line in 2021, they still need to speed up the passing game if they want to succeed. This is where Waddle comes in. With his speed and agility, Waddle can be a great asset to a struggling passing game. Assuming that he is fully healthy, his presence alone will open up the intermediate passing game due to his threat to make a play down the field.
Waddle can also impact special teams. He was one of the best punt returners in Alabama football history, and he will have a great chance to impact special teams in the NFL.
With Carson Wentz on the trade block, Jalen Hurts will likely take over as Philly’s starting quarterback. It is overstated that college chemistry can help quarterbacks, but it would be cool to see Jalen throwing to Jaylen once again. These players had a great connection with Alabama football, and Waddle caught Hurts’ last pass in Bryant-Denny Stadium and scored a touchdown.
