Landing spots for Alabama football’s Jaylen Waddle

1. Miami Dolphins

This is a recurring theme. The Miami Dolphins are a top team on the rise, and they need help on offense. Any weapon in this draft class would improve the Dolphins, and the same goes for Jaylen Waddle.

While the Dolphins are more likely to draft DeVonta Smith with their first selection than Jaylen Waddle, Waddle might be a better fit due to his play style. Waddle thrives in the slot, and this is exactly what Miami needs. They need improvements across the receiving corps, but a better slot receiver is what would help them the most.

Tua threw a lot of short passes in 2020. Waddle will make these plays cleaner, but he will also take off the top of the defense.

Obviously, Waddle will also impact special teams. This will give the Dolphins better field position, which is crucial for a team with a young quarterback. Alabama football used Waddle to put Mac Jones in a position to succeed, and Waddle can do similar things in Miami.

If Jaylen Waddle plays for the Dolphins, he has what it takes to win Rookie of the Year. The Dolphins have a chance to be a perennial playoff contender, and this addition would boost their hopes.

This selection would be most likely if the Dolphins trade back, but we have seen crazier things in the NFL Draft.
