Which Alabama football stars will be drafted in the first round?

After one of the most successful seasons in college football history, Alabama football is dealing with the typical outflow of talent. They are replacing half of their coaching staff, but they also have many starters heading to the NFL Draft.

While Alabama is known for defense, they will likely have at least three offensive stars drafted in the first round. That number could be as high as five by the time April rolls around. Now that the NFL season is finally over, let’s look at a 2021 NFL mock draft filled with Alabama football players.

While there are plenty of Tide stars, this will remain realistic. That means that a certain quarterback from the ACC will be going first overall.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

Lawrence has been viewed as the top quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck for a while now. His collegiate career began with an undefeated season and a national championship. He has great arm strength, but his athleticism sets him apart. Lawrence is a leader, and that matters for NFL quarterback prospects. He has almost every trait that a team is looking for, and he will make Jaguars fans very happy next season.

That being said, Lawrence isn’t the perfect prospect. The level of competition wasn’t always high in the ACC. He also struggled with turnover issues at times. Against Ohio State, he put the ball on the turf multiple times. While this is a knock, Lawrence remains the obvious frontrunner in this class, and there is no doubt that he will be drafted first overall.
