10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain, CB, Alabama

If this is how the NFL draft shakes out, Cowboys fans should be jumping for joy as the commissioner walks to the podium. They get the best player at a key position of need despite many teams ahead of them having that same need.

Patrick Surtain was an excellent corner during his Alabama football career. By his junior year, he was essentially placed on an island to lock down the top receiver. He did this job very well, and practically no receiver had success against him.

His stats were low with Alabama football, but that is actually a plus. It shows that teams were so scared of him that they didn’t even throw the ball his way.

This would pair Surtain with Trevon Diggs, a former corner for Alabama football. This pairing was fruitful in Tuscaloosa, and it would likely be beneficial in Dallas.

This is assuming that the Dallas Cowboys decide to stick with Dak Prescott. With so many large contracts, they need to find some ways to get cheaper. Drafting two quality corners in two years would be a great way to build for the future, and Surtain would thrive in the NFC East against some poor receivers.
