Alabama basketball’s game vs. Texas A&M postponed

Alabama basketball fans will have to wait again to see the Tide
Alabama basketball has been on a tear through the SEC this season. It appears that the only thing that can slow down the Crimson Tide is the weather.
Alabama was scheduled to play Texas A&M on Tuesday this week, but that game was postponed to Thursday due to weather. Now, it has been postponed once again, according to the SEC.
This is one of seven total SEC basketball games postponed on Thursday. Auburn’s home game against Mississippi State has also been postponed, and four of the seven are women’s games.
The SEC has not stated when Alabama basketball will be able to play the Aggies. The Crimson Tide already have a game scheduled at home on Saturday vs. Vanderbilt. They also travel to play Arkansas and Mississippi State before ending the regular season at home vs. Auburn.
In late February, Alabama basketball is usually playing to stay alive near the bubble. This season, the Tide are a legitimate contender for a one-seed. This road game against Texas A&M would be great for Alabama’s resume as they try to climb to the top of the NCAA rankings.
Alabama basketball is also looking to solidify its hold on the SEC regular-season title. Alabama has a lead right now, but Alabama needs a few more wins to cement its claim to the title.
Texas A&M hasn’t played a game since they played Kansas State in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. They now have five games to make up, so it is unlikely that they will get to play their entire SEC slate. With their 2-6 conference record, their only hope to make the NCAA Tournament is to somehow win the SEC Conference Tournament. With so much ground to cover, there is a chance that Alabama basketball will see this game be canceled.
Either way, Alabama now sets its sites on the Commodores as they look to win one of their last home games of the 2020-2021 season.
