These Alabama football players would help the Miami Dolphins compete for a Super Bowl.

The Miami Dolphins are loaded with NFL Draft picks, but they also have plenty of needs. These Alabama football players could help with that.

The Dolphins were one win away from making the NFL Playoffs in 2020, and most of their key pieces will be returning in 2021. There is no doubt that Miami has what it takes to improve next season, but they still have to compete with the Buffalo Bills in their division.

Miami needs offensive line help and more weapons to support Tua Tagovailoa. Assuming they don’t trade picks, these Alabama football players would make a ton of sense in the 2021 NFL Draft.

3. Alex Leatherwood, OT

Tua could no trust his offensive line last season, and that has to change. NFL teams around the country have seen what unstable lines can do to franchise quarterbacks. Just ask how Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson are feeling right now.

Miami drafted Austin Jackson last season, but they still need to improve the line. Leatherwood would add strength and versatility to this unit. He would likely start at left tackle, but he could also move to guard or right tackle if necessary. When you are struggling to fix an entire offensive line, chess pieces that can be moved around are so valuable.

Leatherwood has a history of protecting Tua Tagovailoa. They were in the same Alabama football recruiting class, and Leatherwood was on the field for 2nd and 26.

We’ll have to see how the Dolphins itemize their priorities, but this pick would make sense late in the first round or early in the second.
