NFL free agency fits for Alabama football’s Mark Ingram

1. Buffalo Bills

This fit makes more sense for Mark Ingram than it does for the Bills. To put it simply, Buffalo is the best team in the NFL with a specific need at running back. Ingram would add a presence to the locker room and fit well with that culture.

The Bills like Devin Singletary, but he cannot be the feature back. They need someone better to get key reps, and Ingram could be that guy.

The one thing making this unlikely is size. Singletary is undersized. Ingram is bigger, but they might prefer drafting a bruiser to join the mix in Buffalo.

The Bills had one of the best offenses in the NFL last year, and they need to find a way to get past the Chiefs in the AFC. Is Mark Ingram the sole answer? No. However, he is an improvement and a step in the right direction.

All Mark Ingram knows is how to win. He won with Alabama football, and he helped lead the Saints and Ravens to the NFL Playoffs. He might not want to help a team rebuild. If so, this fit makes even more sense.

Buffalo doesn’t have a ton of cap room, but they could make this work if they valued Ingram. If he wants to compete for a Super Bowl while still having an impact in games, he should try to sign with Buffalo.

We’ll have to see how franchise tags are played and the first round of free agency plays out before knowing where Mark Ingram will play. He won’t be a priority signing by any of these teams, but he would still be an asset for an NFL roster.
