Julio Jones is one of the best NFL players in Alabama football history. He was an elite receiver in Tuscaloosa, but he has also shattered records with the Atlanta Falcons. He is easily a fan favorite, and he is why the Falcons recently made it to the Super Bowl.

While Alabama football fans have seen Jones succeed with Atlanta, their time together might be running out. Atlanta has a lot of big contracts on the books, but they are far from ready to compete in the NFC South. With an aging roster and a new head coach, now is the time for Atlanta to pivot.

Unfortunately for fans, that means potentially trading some franchise cornerstones. They might be drafting a franchise quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft, and it doesn’t make sense to keep Jones when he has trade value.

With the emergence of Alabama football’s Calvin Ridley, it would make sense to turn Julio Jones into future picks and younger players.

The only issue is value. The Titans don’t have a ton of draft capital or cap space. This would be a risk, but it would be worth it to have a chance to beat the Bills and the Chiefs in the AFC.
