2021 NFL Mock Draft 3.0

16. Arizona Cardinals: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

This is a massive risk, and I understand that. Farley isn’t a guarantee to play early on due to his injury history, but he still has tremendous upside. If he can stay healthy, he will be a steal halfway through the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Cardinals desperately need to add a quality corner in this draft. They lost Patrick Peterson, and this unit was already weak to begin with. That might force them to take a risk on a player like Farley. There are other quality corners, but there is no doubt that Farley would be the best if he were healthy.

Not playing in 2020 really hurt Farley. He had a genuine shot to be the best corner in this class. Some had him in the top five at one point. However, he needs a chance to prove that he is still the player he was in 2019, and it seems like he won’t get that chance now.

At the end of the day, NFL teams will have the information necessary to make a decision. Their doctors will have to sign off on Farley as a prospect. If they do, he would be a massive addition for the Arizona Cardinals. If not, they will either reach for a corner or focus on another position and wait until the second round.
