2021 NFL Mock Draft 3.0

23. New York Jets: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

This is the draft pick that the Jets got for trading away Jamal Adams, so fans will be curious to see what they get in return. Jets fans are rarely happy, but they should be cheering if they can land Kadarius Toney late in the second round.

New York now has their new franchise quarterback and weapon for the foreseeable future. The fit is immaculate. Zach Wilson likes the deep ball, and Toney’s speed will open up the field for the New York Jets. He can also separate and make a play when things break down, which will likely happen with this offense.

The Jets need to learn from the mistakes they made with Sam Darnold. If they draft a quarterback, they have to add weapons to help him adjust. They left Darnold to figure it out himself, and that is part of the reason why they’re looking to trade him away now.

In this 2021 NFL mock draft, I have the Jets taking their favorite quarterback and one of the most explosive receivers in the draft. If they add a running back in the second round, their offense will look completely different in 2021 and beyond. The value makes sense, and Toney would be a great addition for the Jets.
