2021 NFL Mock Draft

30. Buffalo Bills: Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri

The Buffalo Bills went from an AFC East dark horse to a Super Bowl contender over the course of the 2020 season. In 2021, they will be looking to actually reach the Super Bowl. They might want to add youth to the offensive line or add a running back, but they need to have one goal in mind. That is to figure out how to beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills might lose the AFC East, but they will certainly make the NFL Playoffs. They should be one of the top teams in the conference, but there is a sizeable gap between them and the Chiefs. How do they close that gap? It starts with adding speed on defense. Nick Bolton could help in blitzing and in coverage. The scheme fit isn’t perfect, but he would bring athleticism in the middle of the defense.

The Bills could also look to add an edge rusher, but all of the best ones are off of the board. If Epenesa develops, there is no reason to add to the pass rush with a reach. They can simply improve at linebacker here and add depth later in the NFL Draft.

Bolton proved in the first game of the season against Alabama football that he is an excellent linebacker. He could be the missing piece to this Bills defense.
