Alabama football’s quarterback goes third overall in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft

We are less than three weeks away from the 2021 NFL Draft, and Alabama football players still don’t know where they will be drafted.

However, we have more data as the draft approaches, so we can do 2021 NFL mock drafts with more confidence. We know what to expect with at least the first two picks, but it seems that the top three are currently locked in. Beyond that, some teams have tipped their hand and shown where they are leaning.

Still, smoke screens thrive in April. With that in mind, we’ve taken the intel, analyzed it and used it to make these 2021 NFL Draft predictions.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

Urban Meyer didn’t return to coaching to take anyone other than Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick. While no one is guaranteed to thrive in the NFL, Lawrence feels like the closest to a sure thing we’ve seen since Andrew Luck.

Jacksonville has another first-round pick later in the draft, so they will be able to build around Trevor Lawrence. With this pick, they solve the biggest problem an NFL team can have while also making fan bases excited about the future.

2. New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

People thought that the Jets were going to be the worst team in the NFL, but a few unlucky wins put them ahead of the Jaguars. While they miss out on a generational talent at quarterback, they still get a great building block in Zach Wilson. Wilson is elusive, he has a cannon for an arm and he has room to grow. If the Jets actually build around him, they might pull themselves out of the dispair they’ve experienced for the past decade.

After trading away Sam Darnold, it is obvious what the Jets are going to do.
