New faces for Alabama football’s A Day Game

1. Bryce Young, QB

Obviously, one name will be a part of every conversation after the A Day Game. This is the official coronation of Bryce Young as the starting quarterback for Alabama football. While Alabama has depth at the position, the real battle is for QB2 as opposed to QB1. This is Young’s job to lose, and this will be his first true test in front of fans.

Young played in many games last season, but he mostly handed the ball off and chewed the clock. He will now have plays scripted specifically to display his skills. He will show his speed and agility as a scrambler and his arm strength as a passer.

In the past, we’ve seen players like Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones dominate in A Day Games. This could be Young’s chance to make some highlight plays and excite fans over the summer.

This game won’t be what turns Bryce Young into a star quarterback. It won’t even be the reason why he wins the job. However, it will be the first chance for thousands of fans to see what he is capable of doing with the starting offense.
