Ideal NFL Draft landing spots for Alabama football players

Christian Barmore: Las Vegas Raiders, 17th overall

Some think that this may be early to draft Christian Barmore, but his stock is rising. The defensive line class is as bad as it has ever been, and Barmore is the only option that deserves to be drafted in the first round. If you want a starter in 2021, you need to draft Barmore.

Barmore was invited to go to the draft in person, so he will likely go earlier than many expect. While there are a few teams in the top 15 that will consider him, the best balance of draft spot and team fit is the Raiders at 17 overall.

Gruden loves to draft Alabama football players. They have taken a Tide player in the first round each of the last two years, and this would make it three in a row. They trust players from reputable schools.

The Raiders have higher needs than an interior defensive lineman, but they have surprised teams before. They are truly a wild card, but Barmore could add credibility to their defensive line as they try to compete with the other powers in the AFC West.

This isn’t the only factor, but Barmore would also look great in a Raiders jersey. It would probably boost his jersey sales.
