Alabama Football: Tide breaks record in final NFL Mock Draft

Alabama football breaks record in NFL Mock Draft 5.0
14. Minnesota Vikings: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
The corner class isn’t as deep as you would think, so the top guys will be taken sooner rather than later. Expect at least three corners in the first round with as many as five potentially going. While Surtain is the most polished, Horn may be the most athletic. He had a great pro day, and he proved to teams why he deserves to be a top corner in the class.
Horn has plenty of tape against SEC receivers. He lined up against DeVonta Smith when the Gamecocks played Alabama football in 2019, and he also faced off against Georgia and Florida every year. He didn’t always win his battles, but he is tested.
Horn may be the best corner in man coverage in the class. He has traits that an NFL team can develop over time. If he lands with the right team, he will have an incredibly successful NFL career.
The Vikings need all sorts of help, and they would have to at least consider Trey Lance if he were still on the board. However, their secondary has to put up with the Packers offense, so they can’t wait on upgrading any longer. If Horn can be the guy that brings the Vikings defense to the next level, he has to be the pick here.
