Alabama football breaks record in NFL Mock Draft 5.0

16. Arizona Cardinals: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

This was the ceiling for Alabama football’s Najee Harris, but the Cardinals signed a running back in free agency. That opens them up to take a corner, which is their biggest need.

However, I have some bad news for Arizona fans. The top two corners are already off of the board. After them, every option is a risk. Caleb Farley is easily the most talented player available, but he has significant injury concerns. Despite opting out of 2020, he still might not be available in 2021.

However, the other options have their own issues. Some have their own injury histories, and none of them are as talented as Farley.

The fact of the matter is that NFL teams have more information than the public. They can still make mistakes, but they will at least have the resources to make an informed decision.

If Farley gets the green light from doctors, NFL teams will want to take him early. He might even go ahead of Jaycee Horn if the right team believes he can stay healthy. If they take him off of their boards, he could easily slide out of the first round.

While we don’t know if Caleb Farley will be healthy, it is safe to say he will thrive if he is. He could be a steal, but he is truly a question mark at this point.
