Alabama football breaks record in NFL Mock Draft 5.0

22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

The Steelers want to get back to their former brand of football. They want to win in the trenches and be tough to stop when running the football. With that in mind, Najee Harris makes too much sense.

Najee is a unique player. He can beat you with his strength. He can make a move and break your ankles. If all else fails, he relies on his hurdles. From his receiving skills to his ability to block in the backfield, Najee Harris truly has it all.

His flaws are minimal, and his positive traits are worth looking past what he can’t do. If he falls out of the first round, it will be a mistake. Some NFL teams hate the idea of taking a running back in the first round, but Harris is a weapon more than he is a traditional running back.

Harris could have declared last year and had a successful NFL rookie year. However, he came back to play Alabama football. He led the Crimson Tide to a championship with his elite athleticism and ball skills.

While many Alabama football fans would love to see Tua and Najee pair up in Miami, this is a solid consolation prize. There is no doubt that he would start for the Steelers as a rookie, and he would have a chance to make it to the NFL Playoffs for a historic franchise.
