Alabama football breaks record in NFL Mock Draft 5.0

27. Baltimore Ravens: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU

The Ravens traded away their right tackle for another first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but they can fill this need in free agency. They can now focus on drafting a wide receiver to help the offense find the next gear.

However, they need to find the right kind of receiver. They have speed on the outside, and they added Sammy Watkins. Now, look for them to add a bigger target who can make plays in the middle of the field. Watkins helps with this, but adding a receiver in the draft gives them this ability for the next few years.

Marshall had a great 2019 season, and he was the only legitimate threat for LSU in 2020. He opted out before the Alabama football game, but he still had plenty of games to show what he can do. He’s not perfect, but the team fit makes plenty of sense.

The draft class has too many slot receivers that are undersized. This is where the NFL is heading, so adding someone of Marshall’s size is getting harder to do.

The Ravens prefer to run the ball in the red zone, but Marshall can add depth to this situation as well. He has strong hands and can win contested balls on a consistent basis.
