Alabama Football: Way-too-early 2022 NFL Draft prospects
By Dakota Cox
Alabama football will be stacked in the 2022 NFL Draft
The 2021 NFL Draft is over, but there are plenty of Alabama football stars who will be eligible in the next year’s draft. We think it’s never too early to look ahead, so here are the Tide’s best players for next year’s draft. If your favorite NFL team didn’t draft someone this year, they should look at these studs in the upcoming class.
Evan Neal, LT
Evan Neal was one of the best right tackles in college football last year. He has been viewed as a premier prospect since he committed. He will play left tackle for the first time in 2021 after waiting his turn, and he has all the traits needed to go in the first round. Leatherwood went in the first round of the 2021 draft, and Neal looks like he can be a better prospect.
Christian Harris, LB
Harris has something very few Alabama football linebackers have. Heading into his junior year, he already has two full seasons as a starter. He’s a hard-hitting linebacker with speed to play in coverage. He’s not perfect, but teams will be evaluating how he looks in the upcoming season. If he takes another step in the right direction, he has the chance of going in the first round.
John Metchie, WR
Metchie was a top receiver last year, and he will be WR1 for the Tide in the upcoming season. He has speed, solid routes and strong hands. If he thrives in the Tide’s offense as the top target, he will be a first-round lock in the upcoming year.
