The Alabama Football biggest news from the weekend was snatching another top recruit from Baton Rouge, LA. Making it even sweeter is that Ed Orgeron and LSU had made the young man a priority for LSU’s 2022 signing class.

The new Alabama Crimson Tide verbal commit is 4-Star, Le’veon Moss; rated in the 247Sports Composite as the No. 6 running back in the nation and the No. 99 player overall in the 2022 class.

Speaking about his decision, Ross said,

"He’s (Nick Saban) more about your life after football than your football career. The way he talks to me makes it seem like he cares more about you being a man than just an athlete. I love their football program. They’ve been national champs five out of the last 11 years."

When was the last time a player said something similar about Coach O? There’s a reason Alabama Football keeps cherry-picking the state of Louisana and especially Baton Rouge. The reason is Nick Saban.

Moss is also a track athlete. He chose the Alabama Crimson Tide over not just LSU but also Florida, Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Texas, Texas A&M and Tennessee, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Alabama Football Roster Moves

Moving back to the Crimson Tide 2021 roster, former Alabama Football running back, Keilan Robinson has chosen his transfer destination. He will be joining Steve Sarkisian at Texas. There have been rumors Sark encouraged Robinson’s departure from Tuscaloosa. Whether he did or not, in the new world of transfers, poaching occurs frequently.

The latest transfer news from Tuscaloosa is running back Kyle Edwards has made himself available through the Transfer Portal. Best of luck to the young man who can’t be faulted for pursuing a situation allowing playing time he would not have received in the 2021 Crimson Tide season.

In other related transfer news, it is being rumored former Alabama Football player, Brandon Turnage has changed his mind about joining Kirby Smart in Georgia. The rumor includes speculation Turnage was not pleased when Kirby added cornerback Derion Kendrick from Clemson. Is this another case of Smart making a promise about a starting slot, that suddenly appeared to be false? Whatever happened, Turnage can become a starter on an FBS team; maybe in his hometown of Oxford, MS or Starkville. He could also make his way to Austin, TX.

Time for Trey Sanders to shine. dark. Next

Le’veon Moss is the seventh verbal commit in the Crimson Tide, 2022 class. Adding Moss, raised the Tide’s Team Ranking to No. 12 nationally.
