This is a dream come true for Alabama football fans

When Alabama fans watch the NFL, they usually look for their favorite players from college to dominate. Thankfully, two Alabama football legends will be on the same roster this season.

After a long and historic career with the Atlanta Falcons, Julio Jones requested a trade. His request was granted, and Julio is now a Tennessee Titans.

This pairs him with a solid quarterback and A.J. Brown, but all Alabama football fans care about is having Julio and Derrick Henry on the same offense in the NFL.

Jones was long gone before King Henry came to Tuscaloosa, but they have still been seen working out in the offseason. In their first year as teammates, many expect them to pair well as the Titans try to win with immense physicality.

By all metrics, these are the two best NFL players to come from the Saban era of Alabama football. Henry has rushed for over 2000 yards in a single season and was the rushing leader in each of the past two years. Julio is coming off of an injury, but he has still set all sorts of records in Atlanta.

Julio has seven seasons with at least 1000 receiving yards, and he has three with 1500. If he had an entire season last year, he would’ve added another 1000-yard season to his resume. Even with Brown at receiver and Henry in the backfield, Julio is poised for another great season in Nashville.

The icing on the cake is that the Titans are one of the closest NFL teams to Tuscaloosa. Many Alabama football fans root for the Titans because of their proximity and Derrick Henry. It is realistic for fans to make it to Titans games, and they now have another reason to watch them play.

We’ll see what the Titans can do with these Alabama legends, but there should be plenty of rooting interests for Tide fans this season.
