Alabama Football: Crimson Tide land 4-star ATH Antonio Kite
By Matt Melton
As excitement surrounding the 2021 Alabama Football season continues to build, the momentum remains constant on the recruiting trail.
With the recruiting dead period having ended a little over a month ago, countless recruits have been taking visits all across the country. With this, we are beginning to see more and more top recruits nationwide make their decisions now on an almost everyday basis.
The defending national champions are included in that group of receiving commitments in recent weeks as the Crimson Tide secured their ninth commit in their 2022 Class on Sunday in 4-star ATH Antonio Kite.
Alabama Football lands commitment from 4-star ATH Antonio Kite.
Kite, an in-state product, attends Anniston High School in Anniston, AL where he is a multi-sport athlete playing both football and basketball. While phenomenal in both, Kite is an outstanding football player playing both sides of the ball at WR and DB.
At 6’1 180 lbs., Kite is rated as the No. 342 recruit nationally, as well as the No. 13 player in the state of Alabama for the Class of 2022. Kite committed to Alabama over a few other notable schools including Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida State, and more.
With the addition of Kite, Alabama moves up in the class rankings to No. 13 overall in the country, as well as No. 4 in the SEC. Kite is also Alabama’s first defensive back commit in this class, and joins the following players in the Crimson Tide’s current 2022 class.
- 5-star QB Ty Simpson – Westview (TN)
- 5-star RB Emmanuel Henderson – Geneva County (AL)
- 4-star RB Le’veon Moss – Istrouma (LA)
- 4-star LB Robert Woodyard – Williamson (AL)
- 4-star DL Jaheim Oatis – Columbia (MS)
- 4-star DL Walter Bob – Acadiana (LA)
- 4-star TE Elijah Brown – Wayne (OH)
- 3-star ATH Amari Niblack – Lakewood (FL)
After finishing last season with a historic No. 1 ranked recruiting class, Alabama’s 2022 class appears to be beginning to take shape. The addition of Kite will help bring depth to the Crimson Tide roster for years to come, as well as providing a versatile athlete capable of playing multiple roles.
