Alabama football is back on the recruiting trail
In the past, Alabama football has dominated the trenches thanks to elite recruiting and coaching. Once again, the Crimson Tide seem to be recruiting hard at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
The Crimson Tide landed Tyler Booker’s commitment on Friday. Booker is a four-star offensive tackle with the ability to earn a fifth star his senior year. Booker has elite size and the necessary traits to be a key starter down the road.
Booker is the first offensive lineman in Alabama football’s 2022 recruiting class, but that is by design. After signing the greatest offensive line class in the history of football, the Tide can be choosey this year.
On the other side of the ball, Alabama has already landed multiple key players near the line. Jeremiah Alexander is the top-rated edge rusher in the class, and he committed this month as well. Jaheim Oatis and Walter Bob add depth to the class on the interior.
As the season approaches, recruiting will continue to heat up across the board. Players can finally tour Alabama and experience games this year. That will help them make their decisions, and it will help Alabama football bring in another elite class.
Alabama had one of the greatest classes ever in 2021, but it took time to land their top recruits. It appeared that Alabama might fail to land the top class, but they exceeded expectations as National Signing Day approached. This year, Alabama football is off to an earlier start. They already have three five-star players committed to join the program, and they have seven of the top 100 players ready to play Alabama football.
There is still a lot that has to happen for this class to be a success. However, the ball is rolling officially due to some major commitments in the trenches this month.
