With the calendar having now officially flipped to August, Fall Camp for Alabama Football is right around the corner.

With Fall Camp set to begin for the defending national champions this coming Friday (August 6), we will finally begin to gain clarity on the Crimson Tide’s roster outlook going into the 2021 season. With the season opener in Atlanta vs Miami looming a little over a month away, it’s now officially go-time as we countdown to kickoff.

But first, Fall Camp will decide how we get there. Multiple questions will be answered over the next couple of weeks surrounding the Crimson Tide’s 2021 roster outlook, and what we should expect to see going into the September 4th season opener against the Canes.

What Alabama Football position battles should we watch for in Fall Camp?

This will take a look at the five arguable most-important and must-see positional battles for the starting job as we enter Fall Camp. As expected, we start with some honorable mentions, because there are obviously more than five.

HM – Back-Up Running Back

It is assumed that returning redshirt senior Brian Robinson Jr will be listed as the starter, but who will emerge as the back-up behind Robinson? Sanders? McClellan? Williams? Wheaton? There are multiple options, and obviously each will receive extensive carries, but it will be interesting to see who claims the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.

HM – Third Starting Wide Receiver

John Metchie and Slade Bolden are a guarantee to be two of Alabama’s starting wide receivers, but who will emerge as the third starter? The Crimson Tide will rotate numerous receivers in-and-out, but who will set themselves apart over the next couple of weeks among a talented group?

On to No. 5……
