What are the top fantasy football players with Alabama football ties?

Alabama football has sent plenty of stars to the NFL, and many have helped win fantasy football leagues. As fantasy football drafts approach, here is an ideal roster filled with Tide players.

Before we start, there are a few housecleaning items. Obviously, there won’t be a kicker or defense on this roster. We’re also using traditional starting lineups: 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE and a FLEX. Also, this is for a PPR. This means that catches are more valuable. With that in mind, let’s build a roster.

QB: Tua Tagovailoa

It feels weird to actually have options at the quarterback position. Alabama football has four former quarterbacks in the NFL, and three of them should start by the end of the year. While Hurts adds value with his legs, Tua should take strides forward after a great training camp.

RB: Derrick Henry

While Henry won’t make as many catches as the other running backs, he racks up yards with the best of them. He ran for over 2000 yards last year and has led the NFL in rushing yards each of the past two seasons. He’s a dominant force in fantasy football.

RB: Najee Harris

Najee will be a PPR monster. If Pittsburgh’s offensive line can hold up, Harris will be elite in the red zone and will always gain positive yards. He is one of the best running backs in Alabama football history, and he will be one of the best running backs in fantasy football.

WR: Calvin Ridley

In a PPR, Ridley is easily the best option. He’s the top target in Atlanta, and he proved his value in fantasy football last year. He’s ready to be a WR1, and he’s going to thrive this season.

WR: Amari Cooper

Coop will have his franchise quarterback back, and he will be ready to rack up catches. He’s one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL, and he proves it with his production as a receiver. Unlike many of the younger receivers, he’s proven it over the course of multiple years.

TE: Irv Smith Jr.

Tight ends are hard to find in fantasy football. So many great tight ends don’t produce. Alabama football only has two tight ends worth considering, and Smith has the best chance of getting enough targets to be worth it.

FLEX: Josh Jacobs

Jacobs is great in PPR, but injuries are his only red flag. If he can stay healthy, he will be one of the best backs in fantasy football.

Honorable mentions

Obviously, it’s weird to have Julio Jones outside the starting lineup. However, he’s not the only option in Tennessee, and he’s not known for racking up catches for easy points. He scores on big plays, and those aren’t as valuable in PPR.

All of the young receivers have a chance of shining this year. Waddle would be top on my list, but Ruggs and Jeudy are also worth drafting.

Hurts will also shine for Philly, and Damien Harris is another back worth considering.

Next. Cochran not with UGA. dark

There are plenty of offensive stars from Alabama football in the NFL. These are the best fantasy options.
