Alabama Football 2021 Season Preview: Wide Receivers
By Matt Melton

HT/WT: 6’0, 190 LBs.
Hometown: Hallandale, FL
High School: Miami Carol City
Number: 14
The last wide receiver for the Crimson Tide entering the 2021 season is sophomore wideout Thaiu Jones-Bell. Appearing in three games a year ago as a freshman, Jones-Bell recorded one reception for no yardage.
Coming to Tuscaloosa as a consensus four-star recruit, Jones-Bell was considered as one of the top wideouts in the state of Florida coming off 23 combined TD’s between his junior and senior seasons of high school. Even though the sample size so far for Jones-Bell at Alabama isn’t much, the sophomore displays a skill set that could play a pivotal role for this wide receiver group.
Similar to previous wideouts, it is unknown what role Jones-Bell may play as we enter the 2021 season. However, the sophomore should see the field early-on as either a rotation receiver or a special teams option.
Prediction for 2021 Season Stat Line:
10 catches, 100 yards, 1 TD
Replacing a DeVonta Smith and a Jaylen Waddle would be a too tough a task for most teams. Fortunately, the Crimson Tide is deep in talented receivers.
