After being a player to help replace Waddle a year ago, Slade Bolden returns for year four with the Crimson Tide as the most experienced wide receiver on the roster behind Metchie. Bolden enjoyed the best season of his Alabama career a year ago posting 270 yards on 24 catches along with his first career receiving touchdown in the national championship game.
A versatile athlete coming to Alabama, Bolden has played numerous different roles during his first three seasons in Tuscaloosa including special teams, wide receiver, and wildcat quarterback. During those three seasons, Bolden has combined for 304 receiving yards on 26 receptions with one TD.
Looking at Bolden’s outlook going into the 2021 season, the now redshirt junior will be an important player for the Alabama offense as he will most likely start alongside Metchie. Capable of playing multiple roles on the field, Bolden will not only be included as a receiver, but based on his previous history as well, you can’t necessarily count out receiving carries or throwing passes for Bolden either.
Prediction for 2021 Season Stat Line:
40 catches, 450 yards, 5 TD, 5 carries, 20 yards, 2 passes, 15 yards
