Alabama Football vs. Mercer – Bold Prediction No. 1

Mercer will not miss an extra point on purpose. The Bears may not get a chance to make an extra point, but if they do their jokester Placekicker will not miss it for “fun.” After Mercer’s tenth TD against Point University, a new kicker entered the game. On his only PAT attempt, Caleb Dowden purposely missed, later saying, he took one for the team, so fans could celebrate a 69-0 game. If Nick Saban heard the story, he may not let Dowden enter the visiting team locker room at Bryant-Denny. Nick Saban has never found humor in anything that happened in a football game -except maybe the Adam Griffith to Marlon Humphrey onside kick.

Bold Prediction No. 2

Paul Tyson and Jalen Milroe will see much more playing time against the Bears. Tyson will get some time with the Tide’s first unit. In a combined total of 14 or more passes, the two backup Tide QBs will connect on more than 50 percent of their passes, with one or more touchdown passes. Some Crimson Tide fans will continue to worry Tyson and Milroe need more game action in preparation for a potential injury to Bryce Young.

Bold Prediction No. 3

The Crimson Tide will use more than one placekicker for field goals and extra points. Will Reichard will be perfect again on field goals and PATs.
