A big win in week one was followed up by an absolute decimation of Howard in week two. Former Alabama football player Taulia Tagovailoa was spectacular yet again throwing for nearly 300 yards and 3 TDs. With the BIG10 being somewhat open right now, the Terrapins could make some noise late in the season.

Kentucky continued to look like a solid team with a hard-fought win against Mizzou. The Wildcats got back to their roots running all over the Tigers defense in the victory. They get a tune-up game next week against Chattanooga before they pick back up with the SEC schedule against South Carolina. Their game against Florida on 10/2 could decide who has the best chance to take down Georgia.

This is not a top ten team and I’m tired of the rankings pretending like they are. Year in and year out Notre Dame somehow gets a pass from the pollsters because of those who remember the glory years. Two weeks in a row of struggling against teams they should have blown out. Both games were easily losable games. Florida State, who took the Irish to OT last week, got beaten by Jacksonville State. This will be the highest ranking for Notre Dame by me for the rest of the year unless some crazy things happen. Wisconsin will be the first big test for the Irish in a couple of weeks. I look for Wisconsin to prove me right.
