As Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers once uttered after his team started the 2014 season 1-2, “RELAX!” Alabama football head coach Nick Saban has led Alabama to 32 consecutive wins over an SEC East opponent.

No. 1 Alabama football finds a way to win against No.11 Florida in the Swamp 31-29

Every year Alabama football encounters an opponent who gives the Crimson Tide an unexpectedly tough battle. Last year, Ole Miss gave the Crimson Tide an early stern test. The Crimson Tide prevailed against Lane Kiffin’s explosive offense and marched on. On to more wins, an SEC Championship and another National Championship.

Coach Saban may not dig the penalties. There were 11 penalties for 75 yards. He will hate the sometimes lagging defensive intensity, especially in the second half. But I guarantee you he loved the gritty early season win, on the road, in the SEC in a harsh environment. The game allowed Saban to see what his team is made of and gain confidence in the future. It also gave the Tide players a lesson in how hard some games can be.

The Crimson Tide will always receive their opponents’ best shot every game. As long as the Tide continues to withstand their opponents’ body blows, the team will find a way to victory.
