No. 3 Ole Miss (3-0); Last week No. 3; Predicted regular season ceiling  – 10 wins

Ole Miss had a bye week to prepare for Alabama Football in Tuscaloosa. Kiffin’s offense will be a challenge to the Crimson Tide defense.

No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0); Last week No. 2; Predicted regular season ceiling – 12 wins

The Clemson win has now been seriously tarnished by Dabo’s Tighers losing to a team, that lost to Mississippi State. Georgia’s defense is outstanding. The offense is solid. Though they no longer have a signature win, they appear capable of getting one. Arkansas may provide a strong test on Saturday, in Athens. The win over Vandy was meaningless. Final Score: Georgia 62 – Vanderbilt 0

Alabama Crimson Tide On Top Again

No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0); Last week No. 1; Predicted regular season ceiling – 12 wins

Nick Saban’s team won another game against an unranked team – for a record-setting 100 straight such victories. The Crimson Tide was impressive doing it, even considering the lack of competition from Southern Mississippi. Bryce Young was sensational, throwing for five touchdowns on 20-for-22 passing. The Alabama Football offense looked explosive again. The defense played with more intensity than it sometimes showed against the Florida Gators. Alabama football fans, who were somewhat discouraged by the close game in Gainesville, should be encouraged. Final Score: Alabama Crimson Tide 63 – Southern Mississippi 14
