Alabama football aced their final test before Ole Miss

Last week, Alabama football squeaked by in Gainesville as they barely beat the Florida Gators. We learned a lot about the Crimson Tide, and it wasn’t all great. Needless to say, Alabama had some cleaning up to do this week.

They faced an easier opponent, but the Tide still showed that they learned from early mistakes against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Alabama scored on the first play of the game, and they didn’t look back from there. They looked great in all facets, and they took the necessary steps to prepare for next week’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels.

This was Alabama football’s last test before facing off against the Ole Miss Rebels next week, and they made the most of it. Here’s Alabama’s report card for a dominant game against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Tight Ends: A+

This was one of the best performances from the tight end position since OJ Howard cooked the Clemson Tigers in the national championship, and it was because of the depth. Jahleel Billingsley is finally out of the dog house, and he cooked the defense on almost every route. he scored another great touchdown, and he made play after play.

Latu had a great game as well. He made key blocks, but his two best plays were on touchdowns. He recovered a fumble by John Metchie in the end zone, and he scored another touchdown on a reception.

Moving forward, Alabama has two tight ends who can attack the defense. That gives them crucial versatility that will matter as the season progresses. If both are healthy, everything is trending up for the Tide at this position.
