Alabama Basketball has a rich recent history of former four and five-star point guards coming to Tuscaloosa, and instantly shining on the court for the Crimson Tide.

While the point guard position at Alabama has always seen its fair share of stars, the Crimson Tide have developed a pipeline of former top high school stars dating back to 2017 in particular that includes Collin Sexton and Kira Lewis Jr, both of whom are now currently playing in the NBA.

We’ve seen the success that those two had wearing the Crimson & White, as well as what current Alabama point guard Jahvon Quinerly has done since arriving in Tuscaloosa. While Quinerly and the newest member of this group in five-star freshman JD Davison will look to continue the success this season, the Crimson Tide have now added yet another member of that group.

Five-star point guard Jaden Bradley commits to Alabama Basketball.

Head coach Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide have received the first commitment to their 2022 class in five-star point guard Jaden Bradley.

A consensus five-star prospect, Bradley attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL where he is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 18 player in the country, as well as the No. 3 point guard overall.

While not the highest-scoring guard, Bradley is certainly capable of doing so, but takes over a game in many different ways. A pass-first guard, Bradley is arguably the top passing point guard in the 2022 class, while also a tenacious defender due to his size and athleticism which allows his to guard the length of the court and rebound well for his position.

As mentioned previously, Bradley is the first commitment of the 2022 recruiting cycle for Alabama Basketball, but will surely not be the last with the Crimson Tide linked to multiple other top prospects. With Bradley as the starting point, it certainly appears that the Crimson Tide’s 2022 class has the potential to be one of the best in the country once again.
