Alabama Football Bold Prediction No. 4
Aggies’ running back, Isaiah Spiller is one of the SEC’s best. He has rushed for 445 yards this season, with an average of 6.9 yards-per-carry. One of the few bright spots in a dull Jimbo Fisher offense, Spiller will see a heavier workload on Saturday.
Prediction: Spiller will rush for an average of less than 5.5 yards-per-carry.
Bold Prediction No. 5
The Aggies need an effective passing offense and have not had one since Haynes King went down with an injury against Colorado. Zach Calzada is slowly improving but needs more help from his offensive line, which began the season having to replace four starters.
Prediction: Calzada will have his best game against the Tide but pass for less than 200 yards.
Bold Prediction No. 6
With some success against the Crimson Tide, Calzada will take at least one too many chances with his arm.
Prediction: Calzada will be intercepted at least once Saturday night.
Bold Prediction No. 7
As every Alabama football fan knows, a former Crimson Tide assistant has never beaten a Nick Saban team. This past summer, Jimbo Fisher announced the Aggies will beat Nick’s, butt while Saban is still coach of the Crimson Tide. When asked about Jimbo’s claim, Saban asked,
"In golf? I’m sure there will come a day. Is that what he was talking about? Football?"
That someday will not be Saturday night in College Station.
Prediction: The Tide streak of wins over A&M goes to nine games and the Saban record against former assistants goes to 25-0, with Jimbo being a loser five times.
With a win Saturday night, the Crimson Tide win streak will grow to 20 games. It will be the second time the Crimson Tide has reached 20 consecutive wins. The next milestone; number two on the Tide’s longest win streak list is 26 games.
