After a Week 2 Top 15 matchup in Tuscaloosa a season ago, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies meet in what is an important game for both teams.
Alabama is coming off a 42-21 win over then No. 12 Ole Miss a week ago in an impressive all-around showing for the Crimson Tide. Not only did Alabama carry a 28-0 lead into halftime, but also held the high-powered Rebels offense under 300-total yards.
The Crimson Tide enter this contest with a 5-0 record on the season, and ranked as the No. 1 team in the country according to the AP Poll. Alabama is also averaging 45.6 PPG offensively, as well as only allowing 18.2 PPG to opponents.
Texas A&M enters this contest after suffering a 26-22 loss at home a week ago to Mississippi State. The Aggies offense struggled in the contest in the passing game, only accounting for 135 total yards through the air.
The Aggies stand at 3-2 on the season, and after what-was their second consecutive loss a week ago, Texas A&M fell out of the Top 25 in the AP Poll. Still just-outside the Top 25, the Aggies have been solid on defense this season, but has struggled at-times on offense averaging 23.4 PPG for the year.
