Alabama Football Mississippi State Bold Prediction No. 1

Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers is completing 75.7 percent of his passes this season. The Mike Leach system gives him an abundance of low-risk, shorter throws, but against a somewhat adjusted Crimson Tide defense, Rogers will complete less than 70 percent of his passes Saturday night.

More on Will Rogers is that he has not completed a pass of more than 30 yards this season. The Alabama Football secondary is too shaky in communication to not leaves themselves vulnerable at least once or twice Saturday night. Will Rogers will complete a pass of more than 30 yards against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Mississippi State Bold Prediction No. 3

Too often the Crimson Tide 2-4-5 defensive formation has been a bust this season. The loss of outside linebacker, Chris Allen is a big reason why the formation has been less effective than it could have been. Drew Sanders made some plays as a starter but without all the tools Chris Allen developed in his Crimson Tide career.

Having to rely on the decision-making of freshman, Dallas Turner is less than ideal. The Crimson Tide defense will most often use other formation options against the Bulldogs. Look for an additional defensive lineman and possibly more dime formations from the Tide, trying to deny open space to Mississippi State receivers.
