PF JaMychal Green – Denver Nuggets

After signing a two-year deal with the Nuggets in the offseason, Green returns for the 2021-22 season as the most-experienced former Alabama Basketball star in the NBA.

2020-21 Season Recap

In what was his seventh season in the NBA with his fourth different team, Green posted a strong year one in Denver where he averaged 8.1 PPG and 4.8 RPG. Green also shot 53.4% from the field, 39.9% from three, and a career-high 80.7% from the free throw line.

Team Outlook

Denver finished the 2020-21 regular season with a 47-25 record (third in the Western Conference), as well as a playoff run that ended with a Western Conference Semifinal Loss. The Nuggets have made it to at-least the Western Conference Semifinals each of the past three seasons, and should be primed for another deep playoff run this season.

2021-22 Outlook

Green has only averaged over 10 PPG in one season during his career (2017-18), and will likely post similar numbers to a year ago as he will likely feature a similar role in the Nuggets rotation. Expect the veteran forward to play a key role in the Denver frontcourt this season, and to make a run in the playoffs once again.

Prediction for 2021-22 Season Stat Line: 8.5 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 0.8 APG, 0.3 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 45.8 FG%, 38.6 3P%, 78.5 FT%
