The Alabama Crimson Tide took care of business against the Tennessee Vols in Tuscaloosa. The Tide made some mistakes that allowed the Vols to make some explosive plays, keeping Tennessee in the game for longer than its talent weaknesses and lack of depth should have allowed.

Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback, Bryce Young had another outstanding game. He made big plays when the Tide needed them and showed he has the skills to be a running threat.

The presentation of SEC Week Eight Power Rankings has an abbreviated format from previous weeks. Five SEC teams had open dates in week eight. A sixth SEC team, the Arkansas Razorbacks had the equivalent of a practice game against Arkansas – Pine Bluff. In two other games, between four SEC teams, there was little doubt about the winning team.

Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs lead SEC

The result of the game schedule situations is very little movement in the latest SEC Power Rankings.

The Alabama Crimson Tide bye week provides an opportunity for the team to work on its weaknesses. There is no extra preparation needed for LSU this season.

Next. Auburn and LSU struggle in recruiting. dark

LSU Athletic Director, Scott Woodward might want to re-think letting Ed Orgeron finish the season. LSU cannot beat the Tide in Tuscaloosa, and the Bengal Tigers have only one sure win left on the schedule. Keeping Coach O around for a few more weeks makes little sense.
