Alabama football’s fans will love this video

Alabama football is coming off of a dominant performance against the Tennessee Volunteers, and it has caused the Vols to be the butt of many jokes. However, no one roasts a failing SEC team like SEC Shorts.

SEC Shorts is a comedy group that creates weekly sketch comedy videos surrounding the events of that weekend. Their creativity knows no limit, and they have made plenty of jokes surrounding Alabama football. They sometimes use Alabama’s dominance to roast other teams, but they also laugh at the Tide when things go wrong.

This week, they focused on Alabama’s big win over the Vols. This is Alabama’s 15th straight win vs. Tennessee, and that was their inspiration.

They created a scene in a courtroom where Tennessee was requesting to remove their yearly game against the Tide. It showed a Tennessee fan with black eyes and an arm in a sling to represent the dejected Vols, and Alabama walked in unscathed.

While the scene is meant for laughs, there are some true takeaways. The Tennessee fan asks how the Vols are supposed to rise to the top if they have to play Alabama football every year, which is a genuine concern.

They also referenced the iconic “I Hate Tennessee” video. The Alabama football fan said that Alabama has been dominant in all of their rivalries, so you can’t really set Tennessee apart. They joked that the secondary tried their best to give Tennessee the win, but the Vols were unable to capitalize.

They also reference the “financial commitment” that Alabama football fans make to the rivalry by showing a case of 200 cigars that have yet to be smoked. The Tennessee side defends themselves by saying they have second-hand asthma.

The judge finally says that Tennessee needs to put their “big-boy pants on” and rules in Alabama’s favor. Before Tennessee leaves, the judge gets one final jab by saying they need to stay for the Jeremy Pruitt lawsuit deposition. Tennessee prepares to throw a bottle of mustard at the judge before the bailiff tackles the fan. It is safe to assume that the Volunteer will need medical attention for at least a whole TV timeout before continuing.

It is all in jest, but these videos add fuel to the rivalry. Even though Alabama has dominated, it is fun to laugh at the expense of your bitter rivals.
