Four-star power forward Noah Clowney commits to Alabama Basketball
The Crimson Tide have landed four-star power forward Noah Clowney from Dorman High School in Roebuck, SC. Clowney announced his commitment to Alabama on Monday afternoon over a group of finalists that included Indiana and Virginia Tech.
Clowney is currently rated as the No. 62 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as the No. 9 overall power forward, and No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina.
A versatile forward at 6’9, Clowney has the ability to be both a low-post presence offensively, as well as step outside the perimeter and shoot the three. A strong ball-handler for his position, Clowney can also impact games on the defensive end as a versatile defender and strong rebounder.
As mentioned previously, Clowney now joins Miller and five-star point guard Jaden Bradley to compose the Crimson Tide’s current 2022 class, a group that has risen into the Top 10 overall recruiting team rankings in the country according to 247Sports.
A phenomenal Monday for the Crimson Tide’s 2022 class, there is a potential that Alabama could land yet another massive commitment as five-star power forward Jarace Walker is set to announce his commitment on Thursday, November 4. Attending IMG Academy (FL), the nations top power forward will be deciding between Alabama, Auburn, and Houston.
With the 2021-22 college basketball season set to begin a little over a week from today, Alabama Basketball has certainly been a big winner before games have even been played. Will the Crimson Tide continue to add to what is potentially a historic class later this week?
