JD Davison

One of the highest-rated recruits in Alabama Basketball history, Davison enters year one in Tuscaloosa as one of the most-exciting overall players in the country.

A five-star prospect, Davison was rated as the No. 9 overall player in the country, as well as the No. 1 point guard in the country according to 247Sports. A two-time Mr. Basketball award winner in the state of Alabama (2020 & 2021), Davison is one of the most-accomplished players in the history of Alabama high school basketball having scored a total of 2,709 career points at Class 2A’s Calhoun, as well as a three-time All-State selection from 2019-2021, and having averaged 32.4 PPG, 10.9 RPG, and 4.7 APG a year ago.

While the Crimson Tide will likely use their numerous guards in different lineups throughout the season, Davison is a player that could see time at both the one and the two. The freshman will likely see a starting role at some point early in the season, and will be one of the most-exciting players in all of college basketball this season due to his playmaking abilities on both ends of the court.

2021-22 Season Prediction: 13.5 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 43.5 FG%, 35.1 3P%, 78.7 FT%, First-Team All-SEC, SEC All-Freshman
