Adam Cottrell

Cottrell only saw time in one game a year ago for the Crimson Tide after appearing in three games during the 2019-20 season. After earning a spot on Alabama’s roster in 2019 through walk-on tryouts, the junior will likely play a similar role compared to the last two seasons.

Nimari Burnett

One of Alabama’s two offseason additions through the Transfer Portal, Burnett suffered an injury in the preseason that will likely end his 2021-22 season. A former five-star recruit, the sophomore appeared in 12 games at Texas Tech a season ago in which the talented guard averaged 5.3 PPG, 1.8 RPG, and 1.4 SPG, and will likely play a massive role in the Crimson Tide’s backcourt when healthy.

With the 2021-22 Alabama Basketball season set to begin, the guards you could certainly argue are one of the best position groups in the SEC, if not the country. Expect each of these players to provide an impact for the Crimson Tide during the 2021-22 campaign when healthy, with Shackelford, Quinerly, Davison, and Ellis as some of the most-impactful guards in the SEC, if not the country, this season.
